Hi, I’m April Kim, the founder of Tapply.
I fell in love with English language, but I wasn’t able to take any fancy English courses nor study abroad chances because my family was economically challenged. But I’ve been fortunate enough to find people who could help me to finish my bachelors and study in the US for graduate degree, mostly from scholarship foundations.
Coming back to Korea, I decided to do something to make changes so young generation in the world could connect with the world without even worrying about airfare. I tried and failed with a lot of business models before coming up with the Tapply project, but my vision has been always the same: “Make the world closer.”
Now that I launched Tapply, the real-time tour guide matching platform, my vision is finally realized into something that can actually benefit people. Through Tapply, people around the world can meet world travelers and exchange cultures while travelers can have ultimate flexibility with tour guide options.
